LO2 - Following safe working practices

we followed safe working practices by following our recce and risk assessments

here is a link to a pdf explaining how to follow safe working practices which all staff, crew and actors had to follow

LO4 - Film Certification - 12

The BBFC's Guidelines state that strong language (e.g. 'f***') may be passed at 12 or 12A, depending on the manner in which it is used, who is using the language, its frequency and any special contextual justification. Aggressive uses of strong language may result in a film or DVD being placed at the 15 category. There is some allowance for puns on strong language at this category.
Films classified 12A and video works classified 12 contain material that is not generally suitable for children aged under 12. No one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. Adults planning to take a child under 12 to view a 12A film should consider whether the film is suitable for that child. To help them decide, we recommend that they check the BBFC insight for that film in advance. Watch our video about 12A.
The 12A requires an adult to accompany any child under 12 seeing a 12A film at the cinema. This is enforced by cinema staff and a cinema may lose its license if adult accompaniment is not enforced for children under 12 admitted to a 12A film. Accompanied viewing cannot be enforced in the home, so the 12 certificate remains for DVD/Blu-ray, rather than the 12A. The 12 is also a simpler system for retailers. It means they cannot sell or rent the item unless the customer is over the age of 12.
We have decided  that the certification of our short film will be a 12 as there is mild use of strong language but not enough to class the film as a 15.

LO2 - Evidence of applying audio and visual effects

LO2 - Evidence of following script

Post It

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVgeJ5eqlSM

Genre - Drama

Camera work - the camera work applies within the rule of thirds and also uses over the shoulder shots and close ups, this is for when they are within conversation as it switches from each characters and this lets the viewer keep up with the conversation

characterisation - the main male character developed by coming more out of his shell and learning more about his story and how he has become more open with the female character. the female character is a bold and talkative character

production value - there is a high production value on this film due to the quality of the video and how well made the graphics and titles are

script - the script is partially minimal as there is mainly conversation between each character until the third character turn up and joins in conversation

editing - there is very minimal editing throughout

LO3 - Offline Edit

Evaluation:

The first thing we noticed about this edit is that we need to change the sound of the door. It is slightly too squeaky, therefore finding a more appropriate sound on Free Sound would be better. We had the idea to remove the audio when they are both running down the stairs and setting the clothing on fire, and replace it with sad music in order to create more of a dramatic scene. With the dining room scene we also need to add more stills of James in so it isn't all just Hayley. We need to add the other half of the short film as well and create more transitioning when it comes to the bruise reveal at the end. We will also add titles and credits to the final short film.
