LO1 - Treatmeant - Twisted

TREATMENT
TWISTED-WILDFIRE PRODUCTIONS-MAY 2016

THE BRIEF
We have been asked to produce an original short film in any genre lasting between 5-15 minutes. The genre of my short film will be a drama. This short film discovers the effects of domestic abuse and the people it happens to.

TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience for Twisted is both genders between the ages of 18 and 40. The reason for it being targeted to both genders as it shows that both genders can be domestically abused. Its rated 18 as it is not appropriate for a younger audience. It can apply to people over 40, but we mainly want to aim it at young adults audience, as that is who is going to be included in the film. We are aiming the film at all ethnicities as domestic abuse can happen to anyone. It is aimed at BC1C2 as the film will be aimed at the middle class as they are able to access the internet and will be able to watch it online

SEGMENT SYNOPSIS AND HOW IT RELATES TO THE BRIEF
. A woman is being abused by her boyfriend, it shows you what she has to deal with in everyday life, and half way through the film it rewinds and the man is the one being abused and how he deals with everyday life, showing it can happen to both genders. This film relates to the brief, as it is a drama, which looks at domestic abuse.

CONTINGENCIES
A contingency idea for the short film is a crime drama, a girl’s friend has been murdered, she doesn’t feel like the police are doing enough so she starts investigating the case herself.

Misrepresentation- In my short film I need to make sure I do not misrepresent any gender or race, which could cause harm or offence to the viewer.
