'Plastic'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpJFE8UcFcU

Genre: Drama

Camerawork: throughout this short film there camera work varies, from extreme close ups, where she is manipulating parts of her face, to mid shots and over the shoulder shots, when talking to her date this show a range of techniques and angles which therefore fit the 'feel' of the film which is quite un-nerving and strange story line

Narrative: there narrative is about a young woman who is preparing to go on a date but who is not happy with her image so there fore is able to manipulate herself to an idea which she thinks all men want, but yet when she comes to meeting her man he likes her just as she is

Characterisation: though this film you don't find out much about the main character, just that she isn't comfortable with herself and wants to be changed, therefore alters herself throughout the film to fit a idea she thinks her date would like better than herself, but in the end her date really does like herself which tells a story not to change for anyone else

Script: there is not much speech in the script as the film focus' on the changing on the main character, the only areas of speech are where she is on the phone to her date, and when she finally meets him

Editing: the editing though this film is very poor and not as realistic as it needs to be, this is becauase when the woman is manipulating herself you can notice differences between whats real and what isn't

production values: this film has low production values because of the low standard of editing and costumes, where the character is changing its not realistic in anyway, and the areas which are changed don't keep the same quality as the rest of the short film.
